PPC arbitrage test
November 12th, 2006 by Remon
I’ve been reading up on PPC Arbitrage a bit, and although many don’t find it ethical, I’m going to try it out to see if there is indeed any money to be made with this.
PPC arbitrage, as I understand it, is similiar to stocks. Buy low, sell high. You buy clicks for a few cents CPC at 2nd tier and 3rd tier search engines, direct them to your arbitrage page with adsense or YPN (where the CPC is much higher), and try to get an as high as possible CTR (40-60% ideally).
I think it’s an interesting concept, but it doesn’t sound like a longterm project. The reason I’ll be testing it out is because it’s one more additional income stream if it works. I don’t find it unethical in any way, it’s not illegal by law as far as I know, so if I can make some nice additional money with it, I will.
I don’t know yet if I will reveal any of the sites or keywords, but I will surely keep you up-to-date with the income generated, or the loss taken. This test will probably start between November 20 and November 27 because I have a lot of other things to do first.
[…] This is just a small update for the PPC arbitrage test. I just did a wire transfer of $100 to play around with. I already added many keywords for my test, from ~700.000 to ~20.000 searches per month and my bid per click ranges from $0.01 to $0.06 with $0.03 being the average bid. […]
