After the review of Productive Strategies yesterday I’m doing another review today about Tyler Cruz.

Who is Tyler Cruz?

The first time I heard about Tyler Cruz was at the sitepoint forums. There it was, a post by a young kid about making money online. After reading through a few dozen pages of the forum thread I knew Tyler Cruz is someone to keep an eye on.

Tyler writes in his about page:

I make my living by creating and building websites and selling advertising on them. I also occasionally dabble in other online entrepreneurial areas such as domain and website flipping and domain brokering.

And domain brokering is going well, as he posted a picture of a $22,984.99 check recently, and that was only his commission!

The website

Tyler uses a very clean, simple and easy to navigate theme for his wordpress blog. The blog is update regularly and overall the content is good. Lately there have been many posts about his new condo but I understand his joy and happiness and wish him the best of luck. Tyler also posts a lot about his website publisherforums, but the most interesting topics to me are his posts about making money, building traffic and similiar things.

Tylercruz.com is monetized, but it’s not overdone. You probably don’t even notice the advertising if you weren’t looking for it. Talking about advertising, for the sake of this review I visited his advertising page, and saw he sells textlinks for $15 a month. That’s a pretty good deal considering the 900-1000 daily visitors his blog gets and the PR5 ranking of the mainpage. Maybe I buy a textlink myself! I can definitely use some linklove!

Conclusion

Tyler’s blog is definitely worth reading and his feed has been in my reader for a long long time. Although I would like to see him post more often, and less about the PF contest ;), he does post consistently. The blog has some monetizing opportunities but I don’t think he has any plans to make much money off his blog. Last but not least, since his blog is “The journal of a young web entrepreneur on his journey to wealth” I would like to see more posts about building wealth, ie. what do you do with your money?
